CHINA: Ex RAF Pilot made fortune from China as US Pilot arrested in Australia

Ex RAF Pilot made fortune from China as US Pilot arrested in Australia
By GEO' NewsTeam - Gibraltar

Following on from our story on 18 October 2022 "CHINA Targets former British combat pilots - Analysis" the UK Daily Mail  has done a story on a former RAF "Top Gun" Keith Hartley.

He has been at the centre of Beijing’s recruitment drive in his role as Chief Operating Officer at a firm called the Test Flying Academy of South Africa (TFASA). He has operated there and in China where, according to a TFASA company profile he was responsible for ‘teaching, contracts and developing business’.

Based at Oudtshoorn, a dusty town in Western Cape better known for its ostrich farms, TFASA was named and shamed in this week’s intelligence briefing for recruiting British, Australian, Canadian and New Zealand pilots to work for China.

However, all may not be well for Hartley and his flying circus as Reuters.com  has reported that a former U.S. military pilot and flight instructor who worked in China has been arrested in Australia and faces extradition to the United States.

Australian Federal Police arrested Daniel Edmund Duggan, 54, on Friday in the rural town of Orange in New South Wales, and he appeared in court there on the same day, court records show and two police sources and his lawyer confirmed. He was denied bail and remanded in custody awaiting extradition proceedings expected to be in November. Learn More - Register Free to receive our full analysis direct to your inbox or smart device.
