The Observer Research Foundation (ORF) Geoeconomics Programme is delighted to host a day-long seminar titled, “Can the G20 deliver? Priorities for a Post-Pandemic World” on December 15, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Indian Standard Time.
 
The seminar seeks to explore the role of the G20 in the post-pandemic world and how it can be reconfigured, restructured, empowered to address global challenges. The seminar will also explore how India can lead the G20 in 2023, particularly on issues of international finance, business, trade, and monetary system. 

This is first of many dialogues the ORF Geoeconomics Studies programme plans to host on the G20, globalisation, international financial architecture, and global business

The speakers are expected to include policymakers from the government of India, Indian and foreign experts from think tanks, and business executives of leading multinationals.

About the Seminar 

The G20 remains an important economic multilateral for addressing global economic governance issues. Our day-long seminar will explore the role of the G20 in the post-pandemic world and how it can be reconfigured, restructured, empowered to address global challenges. The seminar will also explore how India can lead the G20 in 2023, particularly on issues of international finance, business, trade and monetary system. This discussion marks the launch of ORF’s Geoeconomics Studies Programme and is the first of many dialogues that ORF plans to host on the G20 and the global economy.

About the Observer Research Foundation

ORF began its journey in 1990 at the juncture of ideation tempered by pragmatism. During the period of India’s transition to a new engagement with the international economic order, several challenges emerged, evoking a need for an independent forum that could critically examine the problems facing the country and help develop coherent policy responses.
